Exquisite stone house with a sea view in the heart of historical Kut- the most beautiful area of Vis with many cozy restaurants and stunning sunsets. Only two minutes walking distance from the sea, but in the quiet and sunny pedestrian street. Perfect for families or group of friends.

This ancient stone house has been our family house for 4 generations, and life was much different in past times. There was a donkey in a vaulted barn (where a BBQ is now), lower floor was used as "konoba" for wine making and food storage, and our grannies used to work in the fields and go fishing. Water was scarce, so it was collected from the roof to the "gustirna", a stone built water tank, which we now opened and built a bathroom in it.

House itself is medieval, around XVIII century, as is evident from original stone pieces in lower parts and water canal under the roof, and it was a part of bigger complex called Pericini dvori. Vis has always been a municipal centre, so in it you will find many renaissance and baroque pallaces on the contrary to the fishermen village houses in Komiža which have a charm of their own. Narrow pebbled streets are common for historical areas built far before car era, so you will see and feel history while exploring hidden corners of the neigborhood.

Villa Zdenka is designed for a relaxed stay, having in mind that local motto is "pomalo", meaning "easy-going". That's why terrace and a stone patio offer plenty of space for sunbathing or dining, and open fireplace under the vault will provide really special moments. Mediterranean plants and herbs add charm to the entrance and scent warm summer air while you rest at the upper terrace lounge.

Spacious living area on the ground floor has direct access from the patio, so indoor and outdoor eating and sitting areas for 10 people are provided. Although I would advise not to use it unless necessary (but rather explore the island), there is a flat screen TV with satellite programs, and Wi-Fi is free. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, water heater and a dishwasher for your convenience. Sanitar water is heated by the solar system, and water tank is in the closet under the staircase. Also on the ground floor there is a beautiful vaulted bathroom with walk-in shower and a washing machine, which is handy when coming back from the beach with lots of wet stuff.

There are four equally sized rooms with two modern bathrooms on the upper floors and a spacious fifth room/gallery in the attic. One bathroom has a bathtub, and all toiletries, towels and hairdryer are provided. All rooms are air-conditioned, tastefully decorated in contemporary style and furnished with king sized beds with high-quality linen. One room has a direct access to the terrace, and other four rooms have a spectacular view of the ancient roofs, sailing boats and the sea of the Vis bay.

Think twice before booking this stay: you might FALL IN LOVE with Vis and our house, so then you will want to come back over and over again....!
